User reports that their MSI Pulse 16 AI laptop with a Core Ultra 7 155H CPU is overheating and throttling, even at idle. They are unable to undervolt the CPU in BIOS. The request is to enable undervolting to improve thermal performance.
Hi everyone ! By coming here I hope you could enlighten me on a problem I've been struggling on. The linked picture shows the stats of the Core Ultra 7 CPU that's in my MSI Pulse 16 AI laptop. While idling it's already averaging over 70°C. This CPU is basically throttling half of the time from high temperatures. Whatever I launch rockets the temperature to 90+ Celcius degrees, no matter if I have fans at full speed or not. Undervolting is not available. Power mode is on balanced, MSI center is on balanced aswell. I'm on discrete GPU mode and uninstalled intel ARC drivers so the integrated chip shouldnt be used. I tried setting PL1/2 to 45/65W through the bios options, which seems to help with idle temperature but not under load. Cinebench 24 shows a score of barely 6000 on multicore mode I am out of ideas and starting to get confused. If anyone has any suggestion it would be greatly appreciated
