My husband and I went to a week ago and we had some troubles through TSA regarding my husbands passport. Curious to know if anyone has heard of this happening or has it happened to you? Left from Seattle and were stopped for a name mismatch on his ticket. They said it was because one document had his middle name and the other didn’t so they simply added his middle name to his ticket and on we went. We get to Aruba no problem from there. We go through the name mismatch again in Aruba but we were expecting that so again they fixed it and we boarded no problem. We have a layover at JFK where our flight was cancelled then rebooked. We had to stay the night so that meant going through TSA again. Again, another name mismatch, oh well. TSA for some reason did not accept his ticket after it was fixed. Told him to go back to the help desk. They reprint the ticket where the Delta rep said “I don’t know why TSA turned you away. So I wrote a code on there to let them know you can pass” He gets back to TSA and they said his name is coming back completely different. Came up under someone named Nathan? They sent my husband back to the help desk. Eventually he got an escort back and was allowed through after additional screening but this situation really has us spooked Who the fuck is Nathan? Why didn’t this happen in Seattle or Aruba when we showed passports? Did someone take his identity? Has anyone experienced this before? TLDR; My husbands passport was scanned at a security check point at JFK airport where they said a completely different name is popping up; Nathan, and that his not his name.
