The user's Ioniq 6 does not charge its 12V battery when physically connected to the main charger, leading to the 12V battery draining within a week. They expect the car to maintain the 12V battery charge, especially when left connected for extended periods (e.g., during vacations).
Hi! As the title says: does your Ioniq 6 charge 12V when it's physically connected to a charger (not necessarily actively charging the big battery, but just attached)? I posted about my problems with this about a month ago. Car retailer and shop both claim "this is normal" and I've really hard time accepting that as I've seen so much advice for people to leave their cars to charger when going on vacations etc. My car empties its 12V in a week if done so. Likely going to a consumer ombudsman with my dispute, but still would like to hear if I'm detached from reality or if people see this as specified behaviour for E-GMP platform cars.
