Hello fellow degu owners, My wife and I have gotten our hands on a set of young degu boys. Our enclosure is a 100x100x50 metal cage. While the size seems great (at least what we can figure) there's a constant mess outside the cage too with hay, poop and what not. We've been exploring alternatives that may leave less of a mess, but obviously would come with a price. One of those alternatives is a terrarium (90x90x45) which would keep this hay and poop inside. And while ChatGPT and other AI's thinks (?) it can work, we would really appreciate any experiences or thoughts from someone who are more immersed in the degu life (not sure what I keep referring to it that way 😬) Anyhow, what say ye? Could it work (assuming we still make it fun and enjoyable for them inside, and obviously still stimulate them) ? What should we be aware of? Other alternatives we haven't thought of? Anything would be much appreciated 🙏
