Currently, YNAB does not calculate how much is needed weekly to cover bills for the month. Users want a feature that helps them look ahead and calculate the necessary amounts for each week based on their income and expenses.
Right now my method of tracking finances is to find what bills align with each week of the month, look at our income that week (household income comes both weekly and biweekly) and then do a bunch of math to figure out if we’re over or short that week, how much can be put aside for rent, and where to go from there. From my understanding, YNAB doesn’t calculate all this for you in advance, it just tells you week by week what categories need money. Is that correct or does it help with looking ahead several weeks in advance? What budgeting apps would recommend that DOES do all that calculating for you? TIA
