User is looking for ways to restore gut health after alcohol consumption and asks if greens powders with probiotics and fiber are helpful. This suggests a desire for greens powders to include these gut-health-promoting ingredients.
So I finally decided to take a break from drinking after noticing my digestion has been absolutely terrible. Been drinking pretty regularly for the past few years (nothing crazy but like 3-4 beers most nights) and I feel like it's really messed up my stomach. constant bloating, irregular bathroom trips, just generally feeling off. I've been sober for about 2 weeks now and honestly feel a lot better mentally but my gut still feels pretty messed up. I've read that alcohol can really damage your gut bacteria and the intestinal lining, which explains a lot. Trying to figure out what i should be doing to help repair things. I knw probiotics are probably a good idea but there's so much conflicting info out there. should I be focusing on specific foods, supplements, or what? I've been eating more yogurt and trying to drink more water but not sure if that's enough. Also saw something about greens powders potentially helping with gut health since they have probiotics and fiber. has anyone tried those? One of my friends asked me to check out beam but I've ever heard of them, I'm pretty bad at eating vegetables consistently so i thought it might be an easier way to get what i need. Would really appreciate any advice from people who have been through this. what actually worked for you? Did it take a long time to feel normal again? Thanks in advance!
